  • Breaking Down Yellowstone Cast Salaries

Wondering how much your favorite actors make on Yellowstone? We’re diving into the cast salaries (and net worths) of the stars on Paramount’s western drama. Keep scrolling to see which actor makes the most per episode.

  • Kelsey Asbille Chow – $200,000 per episode

On Yellowstone, Kelsey Asbille Chow (Monica Dutton) is reported to make about $200,000 per episode and $2.8 million in Season 5 (if all 14 episodes air). Her net worth is above six figures at $3 million, Celebrity Net Worth reports. She earned her big break as Gigi on the teen drama One Tree Hill and also starred in Pair of Kings, Teen Wolf and Embeds. Her film roles include The Amazing Spider-Man, The Wine of Summer, Wind River and more.

  • Cole Hauser – $200,000 per episode

Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) joins a number of castmates (other than Costner) who reportedly $200,000 per episode and $2.8 million in Season 5. The actor’s net worth is on the higher end at $8 million, Celebrity Net Worth says. The actor is no stranger to starring on the big screen. He’s appeared in Good Will Hunting, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Transcendence, Tigerland, Dazed and Confused and more, as well as the police crime series’ High Incident and Rogue.

  • Luke Grimes – $200,000 per episode

It’s also reported that Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) makes $200,000 per episode and $2.8 per season of Yellowstone. The actor has a net worth of $500,000 thousand, according to Celebrity Net Worth, which is on the smaller end compared to more established actors on the show. Other than Yellowstone, he’s best known for his roles in American Sniper and the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.

  • Wes Bentley – $200,000 per episode

Like Grimes and Hauser, Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) is also allegedly making about $200,000 per episode of Yellowstone and $2.8 million in Season 5. His net worth is slightly lower than Reilly’s, and it’s reported that he’s worth $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Bentley has also been a core cast member since the show’s first season. The actor has starred in films like Mission: Impossible, Interstellar, The Hunger Games, Ghost Rider and more, as well as series like American Horror Story, Hotel and Roanoke.

  • Kelly Reilly – $200,000 per episode

On Yellowstone, Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) is reportedly making $200,000 per episode on Season 5. At the conclusion of Season 5, part two, she could be racking in $2.8 million for 14 episodes. Reilly’s network is estimated to be around $5 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. (This is much less than Costner, whose net worth is reported to be around $250 million). Reilly is also known for her roles in Sherlock Holmes, Eden Lake, 10×10 and Pride & Prejudice, and the TV dramas True Detective and Britannia.

  • Gil Birmingham – $200,000 to $500,000 per episode

It’s unknown how much Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater) makes per episode of Yellowstone, but we estimate that the longtime actor could be making between $200,000 to $500,000 per episode. Due to his vast experience, we suspect that he’s making more than the other cast members on the show (other than Costner). According to Looper, Birmingham’s net worth is an impressive $185 million, which makes him the second richest actor on Yellowstone behind Costner. He’s perhaps the most known for his role as Billy Black in The Twilight Saga. He’s also appeared in other modern westerns written by creator Taylor Sheridan, including Hell or High Water and Wind River.

  • Kevin Costner – $1.3 – $1.5 million per episode

Kevin Costner (John Dutton III) told the court in his divorce trial with his wife Christine that he originally agreed to make seasons five, six and seven of Yellowstone for $12 million each, but negotiations for Season 6 fell apart when Paramount allegedly backed away. “There were issues about creative,” Costner said about talks with the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan and producers, according to Deadline.

Our sister site points out that Costner was paid for the fifth season of Yellowstone, which only has filmed the first half of the season’s episode. Based on his compensation, it seems the $24 million Costner was referring to was for the sixth and seventh seasons only. During his testimony today, Costner also said he will “probably go to court” over his Yellowstone exit.

But for previous seasons, Variety reported in 2022 that the actor made more than $1.2 million per episode in Season 5 of Yellowstone. Costner made $500,000 per episode in Season 1, so his salary has significantly jumped following the success of the Paramount series.
