According to sources, Robert Zane may leave Suits after the eight season finale. His character Wendell Pierce was seen taking an exit from the firm in the name of early retirement. Aaron Korsch, the showrunner of Suits Season 8, has also talked about it.

Even though Robert Zane made an exit from the show in Season 8 finale, it is not confirmed yet that he will make a come back or not. There are changes that he may return in the finale series of Suits which will be aired next year.
Korsch added,
The decision to write Robert off was entirely driven by Wendell’s schedule.
Pierce is also working on another show “Jack Ryan” on Amazon Prime. He had to split time between the two shows. Further, he is scheduled to appear in a play “Death of a Salesman” which is causing further issues for him and is conflicting with Suits Season 8 shooting. Korsch said,
We were told we would not have access to him during the first two-thirds of our shooting dates next year. Therefore, I couldn’t risk having no Wendell for the whole season without doing something.
