Maurice Crump, 24, was found bleeding out in the 90 block of West Street around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, Chicopee police said. Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, but doctors could not save his life.
Alex Ramos, 21, of Chicopee, was arrested days later and charged with Crump's murder and one count of misleading police, authorities said.
He was being held on a $10,000 bond, authorities said. He will return to court on Sept. 7.
