In a previous interview with NPR, Ryan talked about what romance means to her, personally. “I just don’t know how to answer that question. I mean, I think love stories are pretty much mostly about obstacles,” the Sleepless in Seattle star said. And in this case, these are two people whose natures are the obstacle. And I think what’s also interesting about them is exactly what they love about each other is exactly why they broke up. And I think that’s a very common thing.”

Dennis Quaid: 1987-2001
Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan first fell in love while filming their 1987 movie Innerspace. The couple eventually married in 1991, and within a year, they welcomed a son named Jack Quaid.
