The Huntingdon County Arts Council is currently hosting an exhibit to celebrate 50 years of Raystown Lake.

One of the nearly 20 featured pieces is a larger than life-sized mural designed by students from Standing Stone Elementary School.

The mural includes all types of fish and other wildlife that may be seen in and around the popular Huntingdon County recreation area and flood control project.

The arts council said it was important to get students involved.

"They learn a little bit of history about the lake, most of them weren't around fifty years ago, and the other thing is they use their imagination to create the different sea life that's part of the lake,” says John Kearns, Huntingdon County Arts Council Executive Director.

The exhibit is on display every day through June 8th at the arts center, which is located at 313 12th Street in Huntingdon.
