Altoona police are asking the public's help in solving a year-old, "violent" home invasion.

Police say on the night of May 27, 2023, multiple suspects reportedly broke into a home along the 800 block of 18th Ave. and "physically restrained" a 70-year-old female resident.

Authorities say the suspects then "violently" assaulted the victim by punching her in the head and face and then striking her with CO2 powered handgun.

After the assault, police say the suspects stole several items from the home, including multiple TVs and a gaming system.

Police say the suspects fled the home in the victim's vehicle, before "ditching" it in the area of North 3rd Street and North 20th Ave.

The Altoona Police Department is asking for any new information that produces any new leads in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the department.

Officials say the Blair County Crime Solvers is also offering up to a $2,000 reward for any new information in the case.
