GAZA STRIP (TND) — A 19-year-old Israeli woman has been killed in Hamas terrorist custody, according to a video released Monday by the terrorist organization.
The killing of Corporal Noa Marciano was confirmed Tuesday by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which released a statement mourning the loss of one of its own.
“Our hearts are with the Marciano family whose daughter, Noa, was brutally kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization,” the IDF stated, according to the Jerusalem Post. “The IDF and all the relevant bodies will continue to support her family, as well as all of the families of the hostages and missing persons. We are using all means, both intelligence and operational, to bring the hostages home.”
In the hostage video released by Hamas terrorists, Marciano is heard asking Israeli forces to "stop" bombing Gaza, a plea likely coerced by her captors.
“We can die from the bombs. Please stop. The explosions are very close,” Marciano said.

The video then cuts to images of Marciano's corpse, which showed suffered severe wounds to her ankles and head.
Marciano went missing after Hamas terrorists stormed the Nahal Oz kibbutz on October 7, according to the BBC. She was one of approximately 240 hostages taken during the terrorists’ initial attack on Israel.
The IDF informed Marciano’s parents, Avi and Adi, of her death, and subsequently called the footage released by Hamas “psychological terrorism.”
